Being a huge Christopher Nolan Fan I was not going to let the Corona Virus stop me from seeing his new movie spectacular with his Black lead star. This mind bending action thriller puts you back into the "inception" mind set of where things are going. Not really sure where this one is going but we went to the movies just to see it
The Plagues of Breslau (Netflix)
Another Netflix foreign film, and this one is from Poland. Not many movies or shows I've seen come out of Poland but this one seemed like something worth while seeing. This is the summary. After a body is found sewn inside of a cow hide. A local detective discovers a killer is recreating an 18th century "plague" of criminal punishments on a bunch of bad people. Now, does this sound like something we have seen before?
The invisible man 2020
We et out to check out a movie that seemed so intriguing that we had to see it on the opening day. With Elizabeth Moss leading the cast, (we love her) we had to see this remake of the classic HG Wells novel.
Polar (Netflix)
This Netflix movie looked like another version of John Wick but with one of favorite foreign actors Mads Mikkelsen. An assassin that is on the verge of retiring is sent on his last mission only to be set up by his employer so they won't have to pay him his millions in severance. he employer gets into a very bad turn events when they are dealing with one of their best and in the mean time, the assassin has his demons he is dealing with that he will eventually have to confront.
CAM (Netflix)
This was an odd movie from Netflix that kept showing up in my feed. Basically a Cam girl (actresses that gets money from porn cam’s) that some how gets her identity stolen. Skip the profession she is in. Check out the interesting risk this women will have to go through to get her identity back. Won awards as well. Based on the life of the writer who was a Cam girl.
The Girl in the Spider's Web
We thought this would be one of the must see movies of the fall since Alicia and I were readers of the Stieg Larsson millennium trilogy. From The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to the 3rd book The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest, This release was based on the posthumous release released in 2015 under the Swedish title Det som inte dödar oss (literal English translation: That Which Does Not Kill Us); the English title is The Girl in the Spider's Web . This is that movie.
Fired from the National Security Agency, Frans Balder recruits hacker Lisbeth Salander to steal FireWall, a computer program that can access codes for nuclear weapons worldwide. The download soon draws attention from an NSA agent who traces the activity to Stockholm. Further problems arise when Russian thugs take Lisbeth's laptop and kidnap a math whiz who can make FireWall work. Now, Lisbeth and an unlikely ally must race against time to save the boy and recover the codes to avert disaster
Sicario : Day of the Soldado
Alicia and I sit down with great anticipation to see the sequel to the critically acclaimed Sicario released 3 years ago from my favorite director Denis Villeneuve and the original screenplay writer by Taylor Sheridan. This new version is very intense and a bit more stereotyped and US policy driven but something we do discuss minus the negative portrayals of the Mexican people.
FBI agent Matt Graver calls on mysterious operative Alejandro Gillick when Mexican drug cartels start to smuggle terrorists across the U.S. border. The war escalates even further when Alejandro kidnaps a top kingpin's daughter to deliberately increase the tensions. When the young girl is seen as collateral damage, the two men will determine her fate as they question everything that they are fighting for
Bluebeard (Netflix) Korean
I started this drama because it seemed as though it would interest me and I would move on to something else a bit more creative. This awkward twisted serial killer saga, tells the story about a doctor that overhears some suspicious and perhaps brutal killing of someone while they are sedated in his clinic. This movie takes you on a plot twisting ride that makes you ask, am I right or am I wrong. Or Is it both. Something to be prepared for.
A doctor finds himself in the middle of an unsolved serial murder case after discovering a secret from a sedated patient. When dismembered bodies show up close to home, he must solve the riddle before the killer realizes what he knows.
Upgrade 2018
Alicia and I decided on going to the movie and flipped a coin and went with the reviews to choose this independent move from the the "Blumhouse" producer. This Sci Fi action horror film turned out to be a lot more than we expected. A good to movie after overdosing on Marvel movies and star wars disappointments

A billionaire inventor soon offers Trace a cure -- an artificial intelligence implant called STEM that will enhance his body. Now able to walk, Grey finds that he also has superhuman strength and agility -- skills he uses to seek revenge against the thugs who destroyed his life
Red Sparrow
For this weeks movie podcast, Alicia and I check out the new provocative Jennifer Lawrence movie "Red Sparrow". Based on a novel but has been controversial based on the sexual content and the violence towards women. We review this Russian espionage film.
