Ad Astra

Get Tickets Now: https://www.adastramovie.com/ A paranoid thriller in space that follows Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) on a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.

This was one of those movies that Alicia and I struggle to figure out if this is a good movie to see or just something to write off as a year Brad Pitt did a few movies. A space drama that plays as sci-fi, relationship and self discovery.

Lost in Space reboot (Netflix)

The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them. Lost in Space is now streaming on Netflix.

We took the time the other night and watched the rebooted series "Lost in Space".  Netflix rebooted this series and made it into something totally new (with a little references from the old 1965 series).  Family dynamics, Girl power in lead roles and an interesting concept to possibly a very interesting series.

It's 30 years in the future and the family has been chosen to start a new life in a space colony. On the way to what they believe will be a better world, the Robinsons' ship is abruptly thrown off course and they are thrown into a dangerous alien environment. Stranded with the Robinsons are unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith and inadvertently charming Don West, two outsiders who are thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception

Downsizing

A big world is waiting. Watch the new trailer for #Downsizing, directed by Alexander Payne and starring Matt Damon, Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau, and Kristen Wiig! In theatres this December.

This movie was a very badly rated film that we felt was an interesting concept.  Thinking it was another version of Honey I shrunk the kids, but with a modern twist.  We happen to be wrong but this is not what people expected to be so we took the time to check it out. Actually an interesting movie.

When scientists discover how to shrink humans to five inches tall as a solution to overpopulation, Paul (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to abandon their stressed lives in order to get small and move to a new downsized community — a choice that triggers life-changing adventures
